| The Berkeley Chinese Community Church (BCCC) is a Biblical Christ Center Church. We strive to be the Best in Care Commitment and Cheer. Our church history links us to the Mayflower pilgrims and the early Chinese pioneers in America. The church was founded as a mission by the North Berkeley Congregational Church at the turn of the century to serve the university students and immigrant workers. It was formally organized as an independent church in 1914. The congregation has been worshipping at the present location since 1955. It continues to be associated with the United Church of Christ. Although we are rich in Christian heritage and cultural traditions, we seek to apply our faith to the contemporary challenges of today’s society. We have programs for every age group and we serve the poor and under privilege through different mission projects. We welcome people of all denominational backgrounds to join us to serve the Lord and to make disciples. We have a big parking lot and our people come from a wide area in the East Bay. We have a Cantonese Service at 9:30 am and English Worship at 11:00 am. We cordially welcome visitors. |
